Outlook and Teams Copilot experiences update as Meeting Insights retires and Teams adds AI-generated meeting archive files.

Microsoft is retiring Outlook Meeting Insights, which currently surfaces relevant emails and files in meeting details. Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license should use Copilot meeting preparation experiences instead. Prepare communications and training for users who rely on Meeting Insights ahead of the mid-August to early-September 2026 retirement window.

SharePoint Restricted Content Discovery is being enhanced to strengthen controls over what content is surfaced in Copilot and Microsoft 365 search. Viva Insights Copilot Analytics is removing the requirement for managers to have a Viva Insights license/service plan to access manager-scoped team views. This expands access and may change who can view Copilot Analytics insights. The Agent 365 Dashboard in Copilot Analytics is being extended to managers who already have team-level access in Viva Insights. Outlook is integrating Microsoft 365 Copilot directly into the compose window so users can create and refine email drafts in real time.
